Wargaming, Painting miniatures and Roleplayer since 1982. I am the writer of the www.Gruntz.biz 15mm SCI-FI wargame and fanatical about small scale miniature gaming and design. I helped start up the Lordsofthebattlefield web site and also ran a blog called Rottenlead for several years. When it comes to wargaming I am obsessed with making the entire game look good. I really enjoy the construction of terrain and painting figures but I also have to game with them. I can't paint figures to dump on a dusty shelf! I have to get them into a game and I have just about managed to get either a wargame, boardgame or RPG game in every week for the last 20 years. Contrary to popular thinking about gamers, I have not seen any improvement in my basic arithmetic! I am always reading both SCI-FI and popular fiction and love thinking about technology and how I might weave it into a game system. I listen to Radio 4 and could line up 10 episodes of Melvin Bragg's "In our time" for a long car drive and be captivated with the detailed discussion of history.
